Acupuncture is an alternative medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate and balance the body's energy flow. It is believed to have originated in
Asia over 2,500 years ago and is now widely practiced throughout the world.

As a practitioner, I use your pulse and tongue as indicators of your body's overall condition. Based on my evaluation, I create a personalized treatment plan to help restore balance to your Qi (pronounced "chee"), which refers to the vital energy that flows throughout your body. When there's an imbalance in your Qi, it can lead to a lack of energy flow, causing inefficiencies in your body's functions.
Facial acupuncture is a form of acupuncture where fine needles are inserted in specific points on the face to promote overall health and wellbeing. It is an ancient Chinese practice that has gained popularity in recent years as a natural and non-invasive way to rejuvenate the skin and reduce signs of aging.
The benefits of facial acupuncture include increased blood flow and collagen production, which can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. It can also improve skin tone and texture, reduce inflammation, and promote overall relaxation and stress reduction. Some people also report improved digestion and better sleep after facial acupuncture sessions.
I usually see my patients on a weekly basis, but every case is unique. I will create a clear treatment plan for you and let you know how often you should have treatment. The results of your treatment will depend on your individual situation, as everyone responds differently. Some issues can be resolved in just one or two visits, while others may require multiple treatments until your goal is achieved. I will be able to advise you on the expected results. Although you may experience immediate relief from a specific symptom, it may take more time to address the underlying issue.
Acupuncture needles are hair-thin and they are inserted gently and shallowly. While each person experiences acupuncture differently, most people feel only a minimal amount of sensation as the needles are inserted. Once the needles are in place, most of our patients tell us that they experience a feeling of relaxation and wellbeing that lasts for many hours after the treatment.
While I don’t recommend eating a huge meal before an acupuncture treatment, we do suggest that you have something light so that you’re not get treated on an empty stomach.
You can wear whatever you’d like! If I ask you to take off any items of clothing, I will let you do so privately and will provide you with appropriate ways to cover up.
I am a board-certified herbalist, so I will determine if it will be beneficial to prescribe you herbs. If you would like to receive herbs, without receiving acupuncture, please book a herb consultation with me.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as you can by phone at (805) 707-4131 through text or a phone call. I have a 48-hour cancellation policy, so appointments altered within 48 hours of the scheduled treatment time will result in a fee.
Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time.
